They obviously knew each other, but it seems that Chubby’s real name is Clarence Barrow and that he’s trying to silence Lil from calling him Clarence but she does it constantly, or did in that 2011 sequence. Slim buys the story, but Clovia thinks Slim is far too gullible.
Maybe Chubby is not really part of the family, but he seems to call her “Aunt Lil” even when no-one else is around to hear.

Aunt Lil is not going to help him. She’s the one who called the cops, so she’ll likely stay out of sight.

Any relation to Clyde Barrow? Lil’s maiden name wasn’t Parker by any chance?
