^^ Even tho the American people have spoken and are for it.What happened to “We need to work together, we can’t just say no to everything the other side proposes”?
Do not know where you are getting your information or the interpretations, Pres. Obama did nothing in his executive order that was wrong or different than many other previous presidents have done legally.
You need to stop getting all your news from FOX and Sarah Palin. Your lack of contact with reality and what the Constitution says and the intent of its writers (especially Jefferson) is sadly misinformed.
My understanding is that some legal experts think that Obama overstepped his powers and others think that what he did was okay. I’m not a legal expert, so I’m going to wait to see what the courts say. But at this point it seems rash to say he has raped the Constitution. Even if it turns out that he overstepped his powers (and it’s not at all clear that the courts will agree), he’s not the first president to do something that the courts then say isn’t allowed. If he had been underhanded, if he had secretly done something illegal (Nixon), or if he had flagrantly disregarded the will of Congress (Regan), then one could say that he “raped” the Constitution, but not if he did something about which there is legitimate disagreement among legal experts.
“…he has raped the constitution.”So what has Obama done as President that hasn’t been done by every Republican President in the last 30 years? I mean besides having the utter gall to get elected as a Democrat.
“The immigration executive action! He said 22 times in prior years that he did not have the legal authority to do that. And then he DID it! What has changed? Nothing! We have in the White House an Emperor Wanna-be.”Except Republican Presidents before him also issued executive orders relating to immigration. Reagan issued his own immigration amnesty order.
Ironic: As in Nebraska and Texas especially, the issue is PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS being taken under eminent domain for a PRIVATE FOREIGN CORPORATION, not public purposes, OR “American” interests, as the product will be EXPORTED, why do those rights loving right-wingers defending Keystone in any way???
“Pretty much keep hearing only that others did it.”You keep hearing that because what we keep hearing is that Obama using executive orders is some how unique and exceptional. The reality is all of his predecessors within the last 30 years have issued more and about most of the same topics. Republicans are complaining that Obama is doing something that the last three Republican Presidents have already done.

Appears he is about to return the favor with a veto of Keystone XL.

“The problem is, Obama’s idea of cooperation is “do it MY WAY”. He has no idea how to cooperate.”Except that’s how the Republicans are acting.

“and I meant that “ozombies” in the nicest possible way.”Except that I didn’t vote for Obama in either election.

Did he really expect anything to change for the better? There’s already talk of a government shutdown so Mr. O is in for a wild ride!
