Hello to you all!Oh my! So lovable, sweet, and heart melting pictures today – thank you for sharing! While I’m writing my comment my sweet Margie is sitting on my lap and also reading Ten Cats with me… Blitzi, her brother lays sleeping at that place where I had my little afternoon nap some minutes ago…. he loves to feel the warmth of my body there. For QueenofAmerica and jessegooddoggy and Hoppy: Hurrah, what a wonderful adoption-day today!
It’s the thought that counts Jellybean. Nice thought. — Pictures are great. Eldo – you are such softie. I like that in a person. Rikki Tavi – I like the cat in the window. Somehow I don’t think that is his exact thoughts.
Hi, everyone! We had a great trip down to the Valley of Fire and jessegooddoggy was thrilled to get Hoppy. I got to meet freddog. I have some pics and as soon as I upload them, I’ll post them.
jessegooddoggy said she appreciated RikkieTavi telling her that it was a short enough trip to make it. She liked the Valle of Fire so much, she wants to go back in a month or so when the wild flowers are in bloom,
Me – not so much. It was 71 and just barely tolerable. I can’t abide the heat. Anything with the word FIRE in it is not someplace I want to go. Find the Valley of Cold or Valley of Rain or Snow, and I’m there!
Thank you all for your support and good thoughts. Be back soon with pics.
daleandkristin: he was adopted by a young woman who works at the PetCo where we do our adoptions. Her boyfriend is in a wheelchair and they just moved to a new place and he got the paperwork allowing a therapy cat. Brittany was SOO excited to finally be able to actually adopt a kitten from us. They went on a short trip so I’m babysitting the kitten until they get back on Tues.
Hoppy is now home, currently hiding in the closet. He is gorgeous! Not keen on Freddog yet, but Orange Kitty was terrified of him at first and now they snuggle together. I will email the Queen a good pic to post when he comes out. And if any of you are ever anywhere near Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire State Park, 1 hour NE is so gorgeous it made me teary eyed. Rainbow Vista, overlooking stripes of color in the mountains for miles and miles, slot canyons, petroglyphs…. It should be in bloom in another month, then it gets into the triple digits but still worth driving through.
Jesse, darling, you go right ahead and get teary-eyed at red rocks, this evening I’m shedding my tears of joy at your union with Hoppy. Congratulations!! My gratitude to you and Queen, and may Fred and OK dance gently with him, at least until he finds his feet.
What wonderful pictures! I hope there will be more! ❤️
That does look like an interesting place behind you-What a wonderful Valentine to have Hoppy home. Thanks for the photos and we are waiting for more when he emerges!
I just got mail from jessegooddoggy – Hoppy emerged and gave her some head butts and wanted chin scratches. I’m thrilled that he didn’t stay in the closet too long. I’m anxious to hear what she renames him. He never really answered to Hoppy – maybe Brad was right and he didn’t like it.
Rikkie Tavi: if you look at pics of the Valley of Fire and Zion National Park and Arches National Park, you’ll see what the landscape is like where I live. We’re at the base of Zion, (about 30 min), 2 hours from Bryce NP and a few hours from both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon.
Most people think it’s gorgeous. I think it’s all red rocks and dirt. Boring to the max. I miss my ocean.
On the upside, property taxes are low and…nope, can’t think of anything else.

All our local shelters (southeast Virginia) are offering $14 adoptions this weekend. Nice touch, I think.

Still waiting for him to come out of the closet so we can snuggle. Everyone else gets locked out of the bedroom tonight, he will be all mine.

I love these Valentine cards from all of the cats to Annie. She certainly deserves them after putting up with the antics of .Chesney and co.

Queen, the rocks are pretty to visit but like you I prefer the coast and cooling influence of the Pacific.
