How long has Rip been gone?! She looks like she’s about 6 months or more along!!

Rip is used to multi-tasking while dealing with life threatening opponents. It’s instinctual. He has no experience, however, multi-tasking while dealing with wives laying some serious hugs and kisses on him. It’s all new to him.

Um, Dan? In regards to panel #5:

You do realize that baby bumps go out the front, not the rear, right?

WOW! Breezy is so cute. Man, oh man I just love it! She loves her guy, and that is for sure.I am hoping for a boy, but Rip could use a little ole girl & she would wrap her daddy around her little finger … well that’s what happened to me when our daughter was born. My 32 year old little girl has broke many horses, can handle a gun, likes to fish, is a good cook, likes motorcycles, knows how to weld and, and, and … I should stop babbling .. but most of all she was dad’s girl ….. until she got married. Mrs. Russell & I do miss our baby. She lives about 2,000 miles away.

The baby bump grew fast!She even gained between panel 1 and 6.She looks beautiful.

Gestation? Overrated. This is a Haywaire kid.

I am thoroughly enjoying the depiction of Rip and Breezy’s marriage. Dan has their relationship spot-on.

Take the ultrasound situation. Breezy never demanded that Rip be there. She only stated that she wanted him there. Rip never promised he’d be there, yet he treats his wife’s heart-felt request as a top priority in his life. He even gives up a chance to wreak revenge on some low-life goons just so that he won’t disappoint his wife.

Take today’s 8-panel strip. Nothing is said until the final panels, yet so much was communicated. It is obvious that these two love each other deeply. They are constantly sacrificing their own wants and desires for each other.

Breezy wants Rip to slow down now that the baby in on the way, but she knows Rip has to be Rip. Rip wants to keep bashing goons, but now the mission is over — the revenge part is only icing on the cake — he knows he has a wife who wants him at their first ultrasound. Each one is willing to give up what they want for the other.

It’s funny. I would never expect to see such a true-to-life depiction of a loving husband and wife in a cartoon that is a wildly farcical and over-the-top lampoon of an adventure strip.

You are to be congratulated, Dan.

Breezy told Rip third week of last November. This is now the first week in March. That’s 15 weeks. Add six weeks for missed period and testing, that puts the pregnancy right around 21 weeks:

Yup, I’d say Dan has Breezy drawn just about right.

@NyukNyuk2000: TNT lives with Rip and Breezy, so he must still be in the house.It’s Trip I’m worried about. We’ve seen even less of that pup.

Trip will be to the baby what Tnt is to Rip. And RJ is in school, but will be happy to be a big brother I am sure.I want to know where to send some baby blankets and soft stuffed animals!
