I hope she at least has a few more days.

Our vet told me diabetes in dogs is easily treated. Treatment for cats with diabetes is rarely successful.

My sweet little Corgi girl, Sadie Ann started this way. Insulin was working pretty good, she was eating better and playing more. About a year later her kidneys started shutting down. In a matter of a week she was gone. 5 years and I haven’t stopped crying.

Diabetes in itself doesn’t have to be a death sentence. My Rosie was officially diagnosed 3/15/07 (ides of March!) and is now 15 and still doing quite well. One thing is not to feed that Purina prescription crap. There are much better foods for diabetics out there nowadays.

We had a little girl with diabetes. Every morning she would wait outside the bathroom door for my husband to finish his shower and give her the insulin shot. She knew that then breakfast would be served. She lived for many years with very few problems. >^..^<
