Funny, I read the editorials in the liberal newspaper but liberals won’t watch Fox’s. Of course I can tell the difference between news and editorial. Editorials start on the front page of the Times. Editorials on Fox are clearly delineated.
Ah yes, good old Wally Ballew of Bob and Ray. Who can forget his interview with the … President … of … the … Slow- … Talkers … of … America? I miss B&R.
Bob and Ray… I don’t know much about them, but I think this bit was one of theirs: it was a Jeopardy parody, and the host was giving the answers (e.g., “212 degrees Farenheit”) and the contestant was responding with the correct question (“What is the boiling point of water?”), The contestant got several questions right in a row, and the impressed host remarked, “Hey, you’re on a roll!” to which the contestant replied, “Why is there butter on my pants?”
As a former journalist, I know that Lewreader is absolutely correct. Fox is the ONLY outlet that practices REAL journalism. No opinion in the hard news, only facts. Opinion is reserved for the opinion programs.
My friends and I call it “Fox Noise”, in part because the commentators are all often talking at once, so nobody can understand a thing they are saying… which is probably a good thing. They seem not to understand the concept of taking turns.
I miss the old independent tv stations that Fox bought up to become a ‘network’. Back in Detroit when I was a kid I used to love to watch channel 50, the old WKBD. Mostly it showed old reruns and movies, but it had a lot of local programming as well. The Creature Feature movie on Saturday afternoons, a few local talk shows, just lots of neat local programming that you never see anymore. Everything is broadcast network nonsense. You watch the same thing in LA, NYC, Detroit, Miami or whatever. We’re all turning into one big giant mass organism, all fed by the same TV. We’re all easier to control because all the big networks are owned by just a few people, and they decide what we watch and when we watch it. Things like DVR and video on demand make it look like we have more choices, but that’s mainly just a matter of WHEN we watch what they’ve chosen for us, rather than a choice of WHAT we watch.
Man, reading back over this I need a serious editor. Ah well, to late for that, I’m tired. In short, Fox and other network broadcasters BAD. Independent TV, GOOD.

She would appear to be her sister, even. And their brother, Wally, was a reporter on Bob and Ray’s radio show years ago!
Those bonzo Ballew triplets, Molly, Polly, and Wally, are plotting to take over the station and turn it into a Fox News affiliate!
Their little brothers, Golly, Paulie, Saulie and Raleigh, left home to join a dog and clown act in the circus!
Dolly and McCauley, their mom and dad, are Russian ex-pats who gave up stellar careers with the Bolshoi Ballet for a life of freedom in the West!
What a wild and crazy bunch!

Thank you, Powerboy. Your presence shows that there are still some thinking people like us left alive in this world.

You’re right, the editorials on Fox are clearly delineated. When the broadcast starts, to when the broadcast ends.

Wally would be more like Polly and Molly’s grand father, but considering the Ballew minds this would be an anticipated “misspeak”

You mean Fox “News” ISN’T “Fair & Balanced?” Oh no, what can one depend on in this world?
Jollyjack, you are right. The BoB & Ray characteer is old enough to be Polly & Molly’s grandfather. At least!

So there are now reporters on the scene, and NOBODY knows about a bunch of animals escaping the zoo? The circus??
What, we’re supposed to believe the hippo sailed them over from Africa???
