The left: Fox News lies. The right Mainstream Media lies..Truth: They both spin the story based on ideology. All of it is colored by Demagoguery & Propaganda..It’s just a matter of what flavor of Cool Aid you prefer..Blue or Red.

Because all OTHER news sources are so honest? Yeah, right.
A Martin almost 10 years ago
Odd there is so much concern about the newspeople lying and still nothing about the newsmakers lying.

Fox News is the only news organization that presents the truth and both sides of an opinion. You slanderers should try watching it sometime. You might find out what really is going on in the world.

I agree; Let the games begin.
Tigdi almost 10 years ago
Right with you and J. Short. I wish that if the artists wanted to do political/social commentary type cartoons they would add an editorial series to their repertoire. I love The Argyle Sweater and enjoy it the most when Mr. Hilburn keeps to the puns and schtick.

If you think those are bad, just listen to what the government says. Does anyone think that those press releases are not self serving? Think about that. Yes, both parties.

Pretty much everything in every media. Journalism has devolved to merely processing news releases and adopting any story slant that is more entertaining than reality. I’m in a position to know the facts in some stories, and it’s been a long time since I heard one that didn’t contain significant lies, mostly because the “journalist” was too lazy to do basic research – or perhaps too afflicted by having obtained a journalism degree, thus rendering themselves ignorant in every field.

watch news on chn 13 no yelling ,opinions, snickers just simple reporting like in the cronkite days

You forgot one way to tell someone is lying… they have difficulty producing saliva. Watch Bill Clinton speak. His upper lip gets stuck on his upper gum ’cause his mouth is so dry! (Well, another way to tell about the “media” is when their lips are moving.)

Why are even the regular comics turning political?
Carl R almost 10 years ago
I listen to a variety of news, from Fox to NPR. Most of the time it isn’t a matter of lies, but of simply including only what suits their purpose. Some news is moderately liberal, some moderately conservative, but most of the time they cover the same basic material. Of all the news services, NPR is by far the most biased primarily because it doesn’t aim to be a broadly inclusive news, but only covers select tidbits that suit their agenda.

And none of them is permitted to even mention the Green Party (except for viewer-supported Link, which gives it a mention every couple months or so, and in-depth coverage more or less annually).

Fox News won the right via the Supreme Court to lie on air. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/07/31/364678/-Fox-News-wins-in-court#

Alright — Argyle gets edgy.

@lurch1313 — Fox has already set legal precedent winning a 1st-amendment case protecting their right to lie.

RPG? Is that Role-Playing Game or does that mean something else on the news?
Desertfox89029 almost 10 years ago
@lurch1313: Is that why Fox News is consistently rated the worst for truth by every credible rating source year after year?
Darryl Heine almost 10 years ago
I bet Brian Williams never comes back to NBC News.
hippogriff almost 10 years ago
heatherjasper: You didn’t state the context (or where it was mentioned). It could be roleplaying games, rocket-propelled grenades, really pathetic gunnies, or almost anything fitting the initials..dheine1971: But Oh Really? will stay a headliner at Fox forever, no matter what the whopper.

But yet the liar In Chief lies through his teeth; and the dems are ok with that.

I did some research on which is the most opinionated news channel. While some older articles indicated that it was Fox, newer articles show that the clear leader today is MSNBC. This link http://tinyurl.com/bqrj73a shows that 85% of MSNBC’s programming is opinion or commentary, while Fox is 56% and CNN is at 46%. Here is the full report: http://tinyurl.com/ndwcmgx
