I wonder what he has iin store for Annie? He doesn’t need to take her with him, he can just abandon her there. But then the two boatmen may object to that since it could put them at risk. I think she’ll be on that boat.

I’m not trying to compete with WW. Actually I do this frequently. It’s how I make my songs. First the words,then figure out the melody snf the chords to fit them. Takes me about an hour short of forever. Don’t write very many.

What WW does every day would take me two or three days, if I was lucky. My hat is off to WW, and we all hope he doesn’t have to find a new strip to continue his poetic artistry..

I’ve been going back and reading the early Maeder strips. GoComics has them back to 2001 and I feel like these are great stories. Annie is too good a comic to lose. I hope GoComics finds a good way to keep this strip alive.

And I’ll repeat my question from yesterday since I think it was too late in the day for most to see it. How does Ted pronounce his name - SLAMP-yak or Slam-PY-ak? Just curious.

As long as he doesn’t get caught for a few more weeks, they’ll never catch him!

@davidf42: I hope GoComics keeps this strip going also because starting 6/14/10, my afternoon comic lineup will have Gasoline Alley following Cul de Sac.

I just can’t get into this story, knowing how it doesn’t end.
