Wally: The fake throw is the rottenest trick you can play on your dog! We take off after it until we realize the ball is still in your hand! It's so embarrassing! But just remember, I am not stupid! ! I'll only fall for this trick 15 or 16 times in a row!

If you fake threw to my old shepherd/husky he just wouldn’t give it back when you finally threw it.

I like to throw a ball to land right in front of a cat and watch the dog try to retrieve it without getting beaten up by the cat.

I would do it once to my lab mix, but he watched me closely – and saw I didn’t throw it… smart cookie. Never got away with it after that. Course he was a fetch machine, made me play with him for an hour before he got tired.
