Boy: Frazz, do you have any power tools I could borrow?
Frazz: For what?
Boy: I'd rather not say.
Frazz: Then no.
Boy: Aw. Why?
Frazz: Partly because it's power tools and entirely because you'd rather not say.
Maybe there were circumstances he’d let him near the tools, supervised. If he’d wanted to, say, build a birdhouse or model or something a kid can do with help (meaning the kid may actually touch the drill to put the screws into the holes the adult made), Frazz might have managed something where he did the tools bit.
If you see your four year old carrying the family cat towards the kitchen muttering, “Kitty needs a bath”, it’s probably a good idea to find out what she has planned. Especially if you own a dishwasher.

Wait a minute….Does that add up mathematically? It’s part something but, all of the other?…Let me sleep on that….

My dad let me borrow his tools….eventually. Supervised, then finally on my own.
