@Hello to all and especially to jessegooddoggy, T_Lexi, QueenofAmerica, Perkycat, Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray, wildcatherder and daleandkristen! Thank you very much that you love my pics of Margie and her new drinking fountain. Yes, Margie enjoys drinking out of this fountain. She didn’t splash; it was only in the beginning when she was playing a little bit to find out where the water comes from. I have bought this fountain because my water bill grew and grew. While Blitzi, her brother, is drinking from bowls, Margie only drank water from the bathtub faucet, and so often I forgot to reclose this faucet, so the water dripped and dripped and dripped… it is not very cheap – German water :-). I bought this fountain by Lucky-Kitty. Have to clean it once a week, and have to fill up with water all two or three day. It works very silently, doesn’t need any carbon filter, only if one has a long-haired cat they recommend for a filter and offer a filter out of foam material. They do have an English website – https://www.lucky-kitty.com/en/ but I found this here: “Because of high shipping costs, we unfortunately do not ship to the USA, NZ or Australia.” What a pity! (https://www.lucky-kitty.com/en/lucky-kitty/questions-and-answers/). Only in German, but you will see also my pics there:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lucky-Kitty/138207546229018
Did somebody post instructions on how to put an avatar by your posts? I’ve been looking back through the comments and can’t find it. Maybe it was another comic. I’m not real computer literate but I can usually figure something out if I poke around enough. Probably just get lucky.
Chesney will never learn!! Up again at 2:30 with another headache. Changing pillows didn’t help. I had migraines several times a month for 35 years (they stopped a little over 2 years ago), so a “regular” headache is tolerable. Our storm is currently bringing the Owens Valley nothing but strong wind and clear skies with some snow in the mountains. At least the wind is keeping the early blooming fruit trees from freezing. In response to RoseRabbit from yesterday – long drives can be very tiring! A few times a year I do a round trip of around 450 miles in one day to see my dentist or doctor in southern California. I can barely get the “cold stuff” from Trader Joes put away when I get home; everything else sits wherever I dropped it or still in the car until at least the next day. Each time I tell myself I won’t do it again, but I am so happy to wake up in my own bed the next morning.
Blue may be reunited with his brother! If he behaves at the Queen’s house (no spraying!) I hope to bring him home with me in a few weeks! They were dumped Utah’s SR 9, so they will be collectively know as the Route Nine brothers…
@Happy, Happy, Happy, thank you, thank you, thank you for those exquisite Chopin Nocturnes that you posted yesterday. Hubby and I have just had a wonderful trip down Memory Lane. :-)) God Bless You.
Good morning. slept in till 4:00 this morning. Laid there for a bit until Casper got too heavy sitting on my chest. So, up for mail, banking, Ten Cats and a few games, then back to bed to see if I can sleep.
I have never had a migraine, knock wood, but know they can put a person down with the pain.
I left a message for Susan last night about Blues’s bro. She was in Mesquite for dinner but I know she will call me this morning. I might run to St George to get Route 9 so I can start the “no spraying” watch. I posted a pic of him last night so you can see him on yesterdays’ postings.
My migraines were first caused by working in a building that had been “bug bombed” overnight. Spent that weekend curled up on the bathroom floor. I drifted through many jobs for about 20 years – I was too unreliable to hold one very long as I often was in so much pain I could not even pick up the phone and dial all the numbers to call in sick! They changed the course of my life as I couldn’t find any meds that worked for decades. I did all the diet changes, acupuncture, chiropractic, etc. They suddenly stopped a few years ago.
I thought this comment section was supposed to be for remarks about the comic strip, but it has turned into a verrrrry windy chat room. Sheeeesh, people…….
Good for you Annie!! Hope that bandage stays on for a while so there can be some peace and quiet, 2old – as usual your pictures are perfect for the comic. It is amazing the positions cats can get themselves into. And, of course, i love Grumpy Cat. Hello Marge – ‘German water’ must be expensive. Interesting. I, too, suffered from migraines that were hormone related. There is one good thing about menopause – no more migraines. Ignore whooziss – I love all the stories here.
@Whooziss-because of our chatty nature a cat got adopted and we have made friends across the world who love cats-and some have even visited each other. What do you find wrong with that?
Whooziss: make that 2 cats since the first one’s brother is being adopted by the same poster. And it’s not like we live near each other – we are 6 hours from each other in different states!
And, 2 cats got spayed by donations that helped someone out clear across the country.
Finally, a regular poster passed away last year and the group was so supportive to her friend here on Ten Cats. Graham even did a lovely tribute to her in a strip.
So, we might get a bit chatty but nobody makes anyone read every post.
Queen, Jesse, I do hope the that the kitty transfer will work out OK.I changed Yum Yum’s dry food back to her Whiskas today and got her a new dish for it and she is scarfing the stuff down like there’s no tomorrow. My cold finally seems to be going away. Yippee!!
Can someone tell me why the comments are sometimes repeated. I mean all the comments, not just because someone hit the submit button twice?Great strip and comments today, as usual.
Update on the adoption: Hoppy II was adopted today by a very nice man. Before it happened, I called jessegooddoggy to talk about it. The man is probably in his early 60s and is the full time caretaker for his wife who is bedridden from a stroke. They had a big grey male that they loved until he died at an old age. He has been to PetCo several times in the past few months looking for just the right kitty to be a companion for his wife. He wanted one like the one they had because he was such a great cat. He’s hoping Hoppy II will lie on the bed next to his wife so she can just stroke him. Jessegooddoggy and I are both a bit sad that she didn’t get him but agreed he went to a good home. And that’s what we all want for our homeless kitties.
AND FINALLY, WHOOZISS, you come around once in a great while. This place has become a VERY friendly place. We share things, we enjoy each others comments, we have also lost A WONDERFUL lady. We also lost Jim when the strip first began here in the regular lineup. If you don’t like our comments, just enjoy THIS LOVELY strip and move on! AND BTW member since 2008, with only 200+ comments? I think I know who you are, DUDE!
