I still recall the Dr. fussing at me as my daughter became active and started slipping down the weight charts “While she is spending more energy running and playing and we do expect some loss in weight gain, you have to feed her more so she has the energy to grow!” Then I listed what she ate for breakfast* and he shut his trap. .*First breakfast was a bowl of cheerios and a banana, second breakfast (1 hour later) was 2 fried eggs, 4 smallish pancakes (I could only get down 3) and 1/4c strawberry & blueberry compote. She needed lunch 2 hours after that, but I was still full.
