Here’s the GBwOF again! YAY! I was starting to miss that old rag! I’ve only seen her wear it a couple of times in the past YEAR! As to Burl’s suggestion about using a paper plate, it WOULD have made sense if he’d just stopped right before he made that snarky comment about them ‘bothering’ him! If you’re going to do that, do it for the convenience of the new neighbours, NOT your own. But, we’re talking about BURL here, fer Pete’s sake!

Put the bridge under the pillow? More than a little gross, although not the worst ever. That would be ‘way back when I was a beardless swabbie and ENS A. (Academy, natch.) and his bride would wash out and hang on the line to dry their used marital “devices.” He never figured out why we avoided him. Too busy reminding all of us about his being a “ring-knocker” and his daddy being a graveyard RADM. And BTW Burl, don’t worry about the new neighbors bothering you, they’ll catch on to you right away. You might even be one of those mandatory disclosure items in the sales contract.

The FBwOF! but is that a new black trim? The new neighbors will catch on quick once they try to eat Joy’s cookies, she follows the recipe except she uses oleo (the white kind) and choc chips she gets at the Dollar Dump, you know the kind with a white “bloom” ‘cause they’re so old.AND the walnuts are just ever so slightly rancid. And those aren’t raisins either!Burl, is being Burl the Boor as usual. What’s new?

Nah, she’s not going to all the trouble of making these cookies with margarine and chocolate flavored chips from the dollar store…The To-Do list reminded her to buy a package of cookie dough.

Here’s the recipe she’ll write on that card, in purple marker, for the neighbors:

    "Open package.Slice.Bake.

    The package says how long.

Oh, I forgot. Turn on oven."

The recipe makes 36.The neighbors will get 12.IF they’re home the first time she knocks on their door.

    2Old….

in re editing your posts…and I apologise if you already know this stuff, but many people don’t, so this is for them too:

Something that really helps…. if you haven’t yet navigated away from the page or closed it or typed something else…

Click in the comment box and type Control z, or right-click and select “undo”.

That will put the last thing you typed back into the box, so you can edit it and re-post it…and then delete the one with the error.Depending on your browser you can usually undo back even farther if you need to.

If it’s too late for “undo” you can highlight your already-posted comment and paste it (Control v) back into the box…but that way you have to replace all the formatting, (page breaks, italics, etc) and picture codes (if there are any) and such.

!!!!!!!!!! Was she head-injured? Giving away cookies? I mean, I know she means just a tiny plate, but a cookie is a cookie. And why is Burl not screaming right now? Burl!!! Cookies!!! Leaving the house!!! Hello? .And of course, Burl, who has never given anyone anything that wasn’t broken or theirs anyway, wouldn’t know that if you send over cookies on a good plate, there’s a fair chance the plate will come back to you with more cookies.

Why the hand-wringing ‘bout “the new neighbors”? Burl’ll eat ‘em all (the cookies, I mean, but that’s always a given when it’s about some kind of food….) before they can get out of the house.
