While admitting up-front that I’m not a sports fan, let me say that March Madness appears to me to be the sports equivalent of a Hallmark Holiday: a little TINY core of reality surrounded by a SURREAL amount of hype.
If you pay any attention to local news anchors and sports reporters, March Madness IS an epidemic. But outside of the bizarro world of TV news, I don’t hear anyone at work agonizing over ‘brackets’…
