Trout is fortunate to have such a friend.

Spring - the smell of an entire winter’s worth of frozen dog doo thawing out all at once.

So does that mean Agnes’ purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others?

See Agnes as Clarice Starling in “The Silence of the Limbs.”

Ah, Death… ‘Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.

I’ve never heard the trees screaming upon reawakening. The ones I know have experienced the phenomenon often enough that the most they utter is a mumbled “Oh no, not again…” (they’re rather louder than a bowl of petunias, though).

Spring’s alarm clock and Agnes are not in tune, but there is hope trout will get her through the seasons. If only she giggled like a little girl she could transform into her inner screaming third grader. NOT! She is perfection and amusing and a mysterious second grader.
