My mother paid over $1000 for a chair like that. Keeps her out of a rest home.

Don’t ask for the one with the remote. “Dinner’s ready.” “I’ll be tight there. dear.” “Now you will.”

It includes the pacemaker option. Nothing like a little fling to get your heart started again.

Maybe Cleo should try the Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon. It’s possible that they can get episodes for her.

And she’s terrible at poker – whenever she has a good hand, she’s vigorously wagging her tail.

Unfortunately, in this case, there’s such thing as re-runs.

    Welcome, all….

    We’re commenting on

the April 29th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

That is to say, the penultimate “Cleo & Co” for April, 2020, on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

And I  say, just wait a cotton-pickin’ minute there, Claude!

You feel so superior about knowing more than your dog… which, right off the bat, should tell you something…

But you didn’t even consider the obvious…

Cleo hasn’t been around for 60+ years.

If she’s familiar with Rin-Tin-Tin on TV, she’s seen it in her lifetime, so it wasn’t 60 years ago.

In fact, if she’s looking for it now, it was probably days, or at most, months ago.

Somebody was putting Rinty on TV…

Maybe it was Nickelodeon… or maybe it was YOU.

Maybe you have a tape somewhere.

But you can’t deny the memory capacity of a basset hound.

If you’ve been counting on Cleo being as dumb, or at least as forgetful, as you seem to think…

if I were you I’d change my bank passwords, and where I hide the safe deposit key…

cos she’s taking note of a lot more than you think.

Besides… there’s a pretty clear indication of her intelligence in Panel 2….

to wit…. she has found a comfortable place to live…

and without providing much in the way of household support, obviously manipulated the residents to feed her whatever she demands, and otherwise do her bidding…

including cleaning up the crumbs she just dumped on the floor.

Odds are we won’t see Cleo wielding the vacuum cleaner.

I’m not smart enough to have done that… and Claude… you’re one of her minions.

    Meanwhile…

My first instinct, when I saw today’s strip, was to make a side by side.

I stopped myself… but I did quickly find all nine differences.

    Gotta love her thumbs.

GOOD MORNING BALLARDEERS! QD-47 Raining, but the window is still open. Of course it’s open any time it’s above 40F. The oxygen concentrator throws off heat like a space heater.

    (((((VIRTUAL HUGS)))))! All around.

Did 3.5 hours on the elliptical yesterday. Bright spot of the day.

I think Susan said it all!!! My first thought was to tell Miss Cleo how to use the vacuum (or at least the dust buster), and that too many bags o’chips would ruin her girlish figure.

Rin-tin-tin would have loved to have known Cleo. The yould have been the Dynamic Duo of the old west. And, only one more day to go until there will only be 8 more months to go before they don’t fix Sherpa again.
