Bucky really does need none of those things. What he does need, however, is someone to pay for his record to be produced, and marketed on whichever medium.

As a radio DJ, I can attest to the fact that there are a lot of talentless people making records these days. More than in previous times. I think that is exactly what our parents would have said, too.

If everybody gets fifteen minutes of fame, we’re going to have listen to a lot music that shouldn’t be heard outside of a shower

and you have the nerve to call it singing… gag me please…and scream another note off key.

Bucky found his calling in life.

How could anyone say Stevie’s “Landslide” is not great music and beautifully sung? I guess it’s each to his own taste. Like Dylan, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash and a host of others with “different” sounding voices, both Stevie and Rod Stewart have sold multiple millions of records because people value them. Ah, well. What’s the point of arguing? We like what we like.

Makes me think of the intelligentsia of my youth scorning those untalented guitar wannabees — what was their name? “Beetles” or sumpthin?
