I think you guys missed the joke … “Fink” as in an actual proper last name.The old TV show “Laugh In” used to make fun of “Funk and Wagnels” all the time because the name “Funk” sounded weird, but again, it’s an actual proper last name.It probably doesn’t sound weird in whatever the original country was, but it sounds weird in the US.
