Does anybody remember the O. Henry story about Soapy the Bum, who decided at the last minute not to get arrested to spend time in his favorite cozy cell—but then ended up being busted, anyway?
Godfreydaniel, I didn’t think anyone read O. Henry anymore. Soapy glimsed something of normal life, I don’t remember what, that started him day dreaming of a better life than a cell or a bench in the park so he decided to get a job and clean up his life.
