In the South I grew up in, “Youse” was a Yankee word. We said, “Y’all.”
Mostly the strip seems to be NY oriented, so it’s curious that he makes the reference to the south- and not in a very southern way.

As the Immortal Stan said to Ollie in Way Out West, “I’m from the South too… the South of London…” (though as a good Northern lad it must have hurt to say it!)
