Kind of reminds me of Billy and Mandy making the bet with the Grim Reaper.

And the genie said, “I can only give you one wish.”The man thought, and wished for a bridge from here to Hawaii since he was afraid of flying and got seasick easily. The genie said, “I can’t do that! You know the logistics of creating a bridge that far? Not even magic can do that!”.The man reconsidered. “Okay, I really want to know how to deal with women. I wish to know everything possible to please a woman and to understand her.”.The genie thought about it, then said, “Fine, give me the plans for the bridge…”

It’s definitely the “executive summary” version for we who are G1 fans ;) (can I say G1 here?)

The really great thing would be if somehow the new fans could find the archives, there is just so much awesome in there.

One last before I go.. Would pay extra for a signed one. (do have my preorder in for II) and also can’t stop doing the Kermy cheer for you. :)

There’s a story by (iIrc) Larry Niven about a man who visits an old flame and finds that she is now fabulously wealthy and beautiful. He notices that one of her servants has no shadow and says “So you’re a demon?” It turned out (for reasons I forget) that this woman had been granted three wishes. The had demon tried to cheat her: when she asked to be made the most beautiful woman in the world, he made her the most beautiful octogenarian in the world, and when she asked for money beyond the dreams of avarice, he gave her nothing, “for nothing is beyond such dreams”. So for her third wish she said “I wish for you to fall completely, permanently and unselfishly in love with me” and after that all the demon’s powers were at her disposal, and he couldn’t even be jealous of her human lovers because she’d specified “unselfishly”.

I don’t normally hold with “RE-RUNS” but in Dana’s case I made an exception, coz I Love it so much :)

Dana – I must say I am impressed with the way you are participating in the comments here. Quite unlike others, some who even insist the comment section be removed. I think that speaks well of you. Especially since these are comments not a Q & A. I started looking to find out more about your work. Since it appears I am not alone. It sounds like many others want to find out more. Dana, this is a delightful strip. I’ve seen snatches of it around before from its newspaper incarnation, but I was very pleased to see you launch on the web.

Taking reader input into account is both a bold move and a slippery slope; it’s possible to get both constructive input and trollish effluence at the same time.

As for me, this is your show, and I am enjoying being in the audience. I wish you much success in the online endeavour.

I haven’t gotten hooked on a comic strip so quickly since Lio debuted. This is wonderful.

1. The third panel is priceless! 2. WHAT ARE G1 and G2??!? Help! 3. I LOVE Marigold’s fetlock feathers. 4. I don’t think we see Marigold’s ears flattened in any other story. Humans obviously take some getting used to.
