Alice: Petey, what's in outer space. Petey: Well, there's dust everywhere, and there's all kinds of trash food wrappers and bored parts of thing and gloves and shoes. And gas giants and black holes and rocks and dirt. And there's old TV shows and strange creatures and there's unidentifiable stuff that no one can explain. And it's expanding all the time. Petey: Toss in a few trillion stuffed toys and it'd be just like your room. Alice: Yeah!

I’m sure Petey has a shoebox diorama that is outer space (not just a depiction of outer space, but the real thing).

Truly profound… just think about what Richard is saying…

As George Carlin pointed out, we are always on the look out for a bigger place to put our stuff. Then we get more stuff, and we need a bigger place. Hence, the universe.

Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like MY room.

Petey’s description of Outer Space is a bit, shall we say, expansive. But the fascinating thing is that Alice is absolutely happy with his description of what her room might be like! What’s a few trillion stuffed toys more or less?!
