I’m a Rat according to the Chinese zodiac. So why can’t those critters belch or vomit?

Neither can a horse burp or vomit, which is why they can colic and die. I suspect this factoid may be true of other critters, as well. Yawn.

You can exterminate mice by leaving out some cola for them to drink. They die from the inability to burp out the gas.

Cows can bloat. We had one once that we put in a holder, greased up a garden hose, ran it down her throat, and whooosh out the hose, and you could see her sides coming down! (Don’t smoke or have an open flame near by when doing this!!

Rats even pet rats are Very Picky about what they eat. Which is why so few spring rat traps. If one rat eats the poisoned morsel, every rat in the building can come smell the poison in the food their dead comrade ate and will never touch that kind of food again.I’ve had pet rats for years. They are very smart, friendly and have no objectional odor. As long as you keep the cage cleaned. They hate soiled cages, if urine is alowed to build up it hurts their respitory system. My rats have enjoyed cataloupe, cilantro, chocolate, whitch is good for them if they have respiratory illness for some reason. The will do anything to get avocado. but don’t like peanuts.
