No kidding, Chip. THREE players from a state champion offered some scholarship money? It’d be hard to swallow (short of Milford being the state champion in Rhode Island or Wyoming) if it wasn’t ten.

Yep, as State Champ, I’d be aiming higher if I were the coach. P3: Gil’s thumb has been on a diet. It’s rather skinny.

Gil is explaining to Troy that his hand is covered with Great Stuff spray foam insulation, which he foolishly used around the Thorp manse without wearing gloves.

3 from a state champ?!? There are a lot of college teams out there. It’s not that tough to get a football scholarship if you really want one.

Can’t see Gil’s baseball trophy today. I hope the incredible shrinking desk didn’t swallow it up.

Catawba plays NCAA Division II football and was 6-5 last year, I think. Seems like Omari Troy was getting way more attention than that. Pascoe will probably have a big-name school after him. We already know True wants to attend Miami of Ohio.

This is really nice, the boys who play line furthering their education. What about Wynn Wiley,Jimmy Jarbo and Hard Knox Foley? Ohh, maybe we will find out their futures after baseball. If BBJ gets a scholly, does Tip Nunn sign also as his interpreter? I did some research and Coach Glory was let go maybe 4 years ago due to the protesting of Milford Board of Education members griping about teachers fat contracts and pensions. Sadly, Glory like her protégé Al Jo, nothing more than a memory.

Well, given the athletic and academic challenges faced by Milford students—i.e. the complete lack of coaching and teaching by faculty and staff—it is amazing that three kids got scholarships.

How many fingers does Gil have on that right hand?

And, of course, National Signing Day was months ago. So why is Gil only know finding out about these offers and commitments?

In all reality , P 2 Gil says How do you like my hand buzzer Omari ? P 3 Gil says Kaz you have to be careful using a power saw look what I did to my hand , you ll have to give me some strokes when we play golf. Kaz says Boo hoo.

Kaz looks like he’s as high as a kite in P3. Quit keep us hanging Gil, we’re waiting to hear from Big John Pascoe. Maybe tomorrow we’ll get to decipher what he has to say in a rousing game of Charades. Speaking of charades, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is hopefully more than just a charade.
