Is only in the west that “nuts and seeds” is a deregatory phrase?

@Harry yep its that line that makes it obvious who has been pilfering, and rejecting potential cookies to pilfer.
@James honestly I think even in the west nuts and seeds isn’t always derogatory. And I have my own mixed feelings there. I love nuts. I love seeds. I wish I could afford more of them. As a stand alone food, they’re both brilliant. I was surprised how good they are in bread, although seeds are nearly always good and nuts in bread vary fractionally. But man I don’t want either in my ice cream. Or my cookies! Can’t stand nuts in cookies, or in any dessert except dates and baklava. (Almond stuffed dates are a thing.) They’re great in cheesy fillings sometimes – but I’ll only eat smooth nut butter.
So, I can sort of get behind coach hacker here, because I wouldn’t have been stealing her cookies either. I will, however, steal that snack bag of nuts and dried fruit, and leave behind the coconut and the banana chips and raisins.

Well, all in all, that’s the way those cookies crumble. It’s a crummy thing to do, stealing someone’s sweet things.
