If Lucy weren’t a girl, I’d think this was my elder brother in the seventies. This was before we had a TV with a remote; one day he simply became the boss of what we watched, and my parents seemed to think that was OK. “Saying no” was not an option, as it was also apparently OK to get smacked for not doing as he said.

I’m 53 and my older sister STILL tries to boss me around, doesn’t succeed but she sure does try!

Give it time…it will.

I learned to read with peanuts in the fifties, instead of Dick and Jane. For a lifetime it was one of my favorite comics, and I was sad when it ended. But the older I grew, the more I realized Lucy was a first-class, abusive [unprintable slur], and it gave a different feeling to the entire strip. “Fussbudget” doesn’t begin to cover it.
