Maybe the birdies didn’t see her as different, but when she spoke in a foreign tongue (“churp” instead of “chirp”), they fled in fear! (And that’s without taking into account her bad breath!)

A lot of us are having the same ideas…how about volume and lack of musical intonation to go with them?

There were four birds sitting on the wire. Where did the fifth one come from in the last panel?

I think it’s the bean burrito with broccoli you had for lunch that gave you away, deary.

not to mention that it was really a burrp, but pronounced in a foreign (birdishly) accent. net result: whatever it was it ended up sounding like, it wasn’t a word in a birdish language.

The Ohio peregrines are just at the stage as in my avatar - reasonable large balls of fluff (no feathers yet), just able to move around on their haunches. Falcons are addictive. URL:

They live on a ledge outside the 41st floor of the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio. (To a falcon, this is the same as a high, sheer cliff - their favourite real estate for housing.)

I count 6 1/2 birds - oh, no, wait, one of those birds is the author’s signature.
