    Rumour has it that when Quasimodo was the bell ringer at Notre Dame, he used to run headfirst into the bell to make it peal. One day the wind blew the bell somewhat askew and Quasimodo missed and fell to the streets below. Folks wondered who he might be when they saw his body until someone stepped up and said “I don’t know his name, but his face rings a bell.”

    Then his brother took over the bell duties, until one day he met the same fate as Quasimodo. When folks gathered around once again, someone remarked “He sure is a dead ringer for his brother.”
