Now if lemonade is made with lemons and limeade is made with limes, they Ladyade must be made with…no, I won’t say it.

Contrary to popular belief Gatorade is not made from gators. If you’re going to milk a gator, you need a mighty low stool.

Ladyade is made with the same stuff Ladyfingers is - only in a blender…

Is this girl violent? I sense something of this nature coming to this guy’s face soon.

But, but but My momma said sugar and spice and everything nice. Oh, she meant little girls, not grown ladies.

Runar, in a different strip you derided the artist about correct grammer and now you made a mistake. You stated that “they Ladyade” when I believe that you meant “then Ladyade” Just pointing out that no one is perfect, least of all me.

That’s not a grammatical error, that’s a typo. Different beasts. I’m not as much of a stickler about grammar as some others around here (particularly with regard to dialogue), but I agree with pschearer that some of the errors in the strips - which are prepared for publication and pass through a lengthy production process - are embarrassing, and could easily be avoided by ten seconds’ worth of proofreading.
Nobody’s perfect, but professional work-product ought to have some sort of quality control. I mean, syndicates have editors, don’t they? What are they paying these guys for? It’s like that bit in “Spinal Tap” with the Stonehenge prop. By and large, cartoonists are confused. It’s not their job to know what’s going on…
And on that note, Happy National Cartoonists Day!

Should Jenn Erica be doing a drug commercial anyway?
runar over 14 years ago
That was a typo (something I am prone to thanks to nerve damage from an injury), and painful to me as I used to be a teacher and a writer. Oh, by the way, it’s “grammar” not “grammer”.

I just realized this, but Jenn Erica sort of sounds like generica as in generic.
