Kaz is back from his role in the remake of “Roadhouse.” Gil- I’m hoping to get him an inning at Ballard? The ‘Larks are taking a roadie to the Derby City to play the Ballard Bruins? Is Kenny Brown’s nickname Tru(ly) Downtown? I’m nervous because I have expectations and questions.

How does Milford afford that bus for the baseball team? It’s larger than the Grateful Dead’s. And speaking of affording, you can’t afford to miss today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

In all teality, Gil has taught True how to load up a spitter, the Efus pitch, a knuckle ball and a submarine delivery .

It’s true about getting nervous and expectations. Which is why reading this strip puts me in a state of zen-like calm to start my day.

That is quite the bus. I bet it even has an eight-track player, stereo speakers, and will pick up signals on this thing called FM radio.

Wow! What a great coach! Yesterday Tru(E) couldn’t tell the difference between a golf ball and a baseball. Five second talk with Sir Gil and now he’s ‘coming around!’. From panel three sounds like he’s the opening day starting pitcher too. Wasn’t there a basketball player named Greg Ballard back some time ago? Maybe the school is named for him.

P2- Ballard? The Valley Conference has a school named for legendary sitcom actress Kaye Ballard?

I taught him a new technique. Mimi teaches her girls the same thing, all the time. It’s an underhand windmill.

The bus only looks big because these are only baseball players, not those huge state champ footballers with all their pads.
