Don’t try to sell your system to any medical organizations either.

Just a coincidence, I’m sure, but the names on the law office’s door are also the names of cartoonist Tom Richmond, Nick Meglin, and Sam Viviano.

He probably assumed that a billable hour has a minimum of 60 minutes.

If they do a forensic accounting of most legal bills, they often find that many lawyers manage to bill for upwards of 200 hours per week! That means, not only didn’t they sleep, go home or have any commuting time to & from the office, they worked more hours than there are hours in a week.Lawyers are the worst crooks of all.

“No good deed ever goes unpunished!”Well, actually, that’s not QUITE true; not technically, anyway. What really happens is that being a form of bragging (how special the doer [such as myself] likes to think he or she is!); thereby magnetically drawing to that person an equally negative reaction from the environment (which may, of course, be perceived as punishment; it certainly feels like it!). Yes, any reward/punishment is simply the God-given law of magnetic attraction; another way of saying it is: for every Action, there is a Reaction — Action, Reaction!

So he needs a torch to go to the bowels of his organization, but on arriving, there’s an electric light?!

And my personal gem is a lawyer who billed me for “attempt to make a phone call.”

This is so wrong. It was accountants who came up with “Creative Accounting”They are merely trying to turn a simple job into a complex byzantine art form that no one else can fathom. They do it for the sole purpose of job security.

I was once billed for “staples”, the photo-copier paper, AND the time spent to do the photo-coping…. Plus the stamp to mail my bill! The itemized list was ridiculous!!!! This was AFTER I’d been billed $600.00 for “the” hour of consultation that was really about 10 minutes of the actual lawyering-part; while the rest was chatting and catching-up….

What I would like to think would go along way towards curing the lack of ethics among many lawyers would be law school course entitled “The ethics of Abraham Lincoln as a lawyer”. But, I do not ever expect to see it done!

Sometimes too much detail is not needed. Poor dude works in dungeon. Is this what people think of accountants. I work on 2nd floor but ,my desk is flooded with paperwork.
