Boy: Peanut butter sticks to just about anything; jam sticks to almost anything. But peanut butter doesn't stick to jam all that well. There must be something we can learn from that.
Frazz: I think I just learned there's a sticky mess for me to clean up.

The fun begins when you let the dog lick it off your finger…I liked your post, BTW! LOL!

I have always done the PB/J thing your way, even trying to mix them a little first. Even the name, PB always precedes Jelly. Even when spreading on 2 different slices of bread, how many spread the PB first, then spread the J? Most, i would imagine. Excuse me, I’m off to have a Jelly and PB sandwich.

Frankly, I’ve never understood why anyone would ruin perfectly good peanut butter sandwich by putting jam on it.

I used to buy Smuckers “Goober Grape” which was PB and Grape Jelly in one jar. A little tricky spreading both at once.

Wow – and all this time, I thought I knew what “akimbo” meant! In my mind it was hands not-quite-touching the hips (like the traditional pose of a cowboy stand-off in a Western movie).Oh, and here in Australia, jelly is a dessert you set in the fridge – it would be very weird to mix that with PB!PB & Jam is good. But Vegemite and Marmalade is good too!

I’m sorry you grew up in New York but in both the South and the Midwest we get Jam (it has fruit bits, not just juice and the texture is a little softer, not so jello like)
