Boy: Agh. Doobit ayer fudda podden!
Miss Plainwell: "Stupid air full of pollen."
Frazz: I didn't know you spoke fluent allergese.
Miss Plainwell: To be fair, everybody pretty much says the same thing.
Indeed we do. But, seriously, my allergy symptoms are ever so much better these days than they used to be, thanks to things like Allegra and Nasacourt being over the counter instead of prescription. Nasacourt used to cost me $120 for 120 shots, and now it costs $10. I’ve learned a few other tricks, over the years, too, such as increasing my Omega 3 intake, and trying to eliminate most Omega 6.
At the school where I work, kids can get in trouble for saying the “s” word (that is, “stupid”).
I never understood that — I understand you’re not supposed to call someone else stupid, but I saw a kid get shushed for talking about a “stupid” computer. “Stupid air full of pollen” would not be acceptable, for the same “stupid” reason — that is, the word itself is somehow bad, even though the meaning of the sentence is completely OK.

Hey, no need to suffer anymore. Nasacort is OTC now. Five dollar coupon on Facebook (although it isn’t working on my laptop at the moment):

The only thing about pollen season that bothers me is that I have to keep rinsing the vehicles off so I can see out of the windshield.

I wish I could get by on that stuff. I take three shots once a week – Cats and Dogs, Trees and grasses, and dust.

Neti pot (nasal rinse) – no drugs necessary and your sinuses will love you for it.
