Nancy: On your mark! Get set!
Oona: GO!
Noise: SPLASH
Nancy: Swimming in a giant bowl of SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS CEREAL!
Cartoon characters: QUISP! QUAKE! TRY MINE NEXT!
Once, my brother and I were watching cartoons that went to a commercial break. I don;t know if the engineer was bored, or if this was a legitimate goof, but the video for an animated King Vitaman commercial came up – with the audio for a Quisp and Quake ad. It was a lot funnier than the cartoon we were watching…
I am totally LOVING this continuity! I grew up with all of this, and it makes me sad many kids today have missed out on all this fun. I hope they’re reading this!
I’m nearly sixty years old, and the only commercial product I know of that used the same television advertising strategy for nearly that entire time was Trix. “Silly rabbit. Trix are for kids.”

Quisp and Quake were just gimmicks to sell the cereal. They both tasted exactly like Cap’n Crunch.

“Can’t get enough of that Sugar Crisp..Sugar Crisp.”I think I was 12 or 13 when I realized Sugar Bear sounded just like Bing Crosby.
