When I was a little lid, I was told by the grownups that if I swallowed a watermelon seed, it would take root in my tummy and grow to produce another watermelon. (I was told so very many inaccurate things, it boggles the mind.) For a long time, when I saw a pregnant woman, I believed she had swallowed a watermelon seed.

I hope Earl wasn’t the one who spat the watermelon seed on the floor after eating a wedge of said fruit.

I always swallow the watermelon seed with the fruit – it goes right through the digestive system.

Matlock used the same argument to fight a $61 traffic ticket when he makes 100Ks a case. It cost him a slew more money.

Bury the seed in the garden and you can grow a lovely big watermelon.

The watermelons with seeds are much tastier than those insipid “seedless” ones.
