As far as I’m concerned, I love this strip and the art work is exceptional. The story arcs that I don’t like I just simply don’t comment on them and let it go at that.
Devon, as long as one confines his comments to the strip and doesn’t branch out into personal attacks all the time, GoComics won’t kick him off. While you do defend yourself, I haven’t seen you on the constant attack as NotNorman was. While I don’t agree with much of what you say, I certainly wouldn’t want you (or anyone else, for that matter) kicked off merely because I disagree with you. Differences of opinion are what make these forum so lively. Besides, I (and everyone else) can always ignore the comments I don’t like.
The only constructive criticism I have for this strip is that it should be retired. All my other criticism is non-constructive.
But I still like to come here to give myself a little thrill with the daily awfulness, and to comment on it as the muse inspires me.
And unless I’m very much mistaken, our respective constitutions still guarantee our freedom of expression; so resident control freaks who wish they could exert their will over what other people say will have no choice but to clench their butts and grind their molars about it.
Yes, here’s to freedom of expression– Jim’s! As long as he is allowed that freedom, I’ll stop by to see and admire his work. If the syndicate decides that devonshade and ocean17-o would do a better job, then I’ll swiftly move onto something else. There’s enough sourness in the daily news that I wouldn’t seek it out in entertainment.
Gene - I don’t know for sure, but there’s no reason to think that Rufus’ kitty hasn’t aged over the years, like every other character in Gasoline Alley.
