richard's poor almanack comics poll by richard thompson we'd like to find out what you think of the washington post's comic section. not that we're going to change anything, like say drop "hi and lois." fooled you-we did that years ago! sorry, we'll put it right back in! sorry! we shouldn't have mentioned it. 1. first, tell us something about yourself. i like to laugh at funny jokes. even mildest attempt at humor offends me deeply, yet i demand to be entertained. where are you on the jeffy-rat personality scale? please be brutally honest. 2. formulate your ideal three-panel strip. panel one. introduction. exposition. knock-knock. three rabbis walk into a bar. a violent act. panel two. complication. silence. time for quiet meditation. spoiler alert. a violent act. panel three. punchline. a better punchline. derby flies off a man's head. silence. a violent act. 3. so what should happen in lynn johnston's for better of for worse? the pattersons time-travel back to the '79s where they battle themselves.1 the pattersons time-travel back to 3 billion b.c. where they've devolved into particles of nitrogen, but they're still canadian. 4. what do you think of these strips? i love them all. i hate them all. my retina just detached. 1. old joke.

WaPo back in the day had one of the fullest comics sections. I haven’t seen the print edition of late, so I can’t say how it is now. —Except that they did recognize and nurture the genius of Richard, so they can’t be all bad!
