Preemptive sheet washing (washing them before Sophie goes on them).

Our “Half-Time” (a wee tricksy beastie) likes the “help” us make the bed. Especially when we shake out the folded sheets to spread over the mattress. Then it’s “Let the Games Begin”… under the parachuted sheet, racing around under it like a mad fool….claws out to catch fingers. Cat time fun for him …for us, not so much if his claw makes contact with flesh.

My cat Miscreant, aptly named, will not let me make the bed without him. He helps with every layer of bedding. First he gets on the mattress. I put on the mattress pad and he smooths it out from underneath, then we repeat for every layer until the pillows go on. I always put a flat sheet on top of the bedding since I have 5 cats and the Weim that sleep with me. Easier to wash than the comforter. So the last step of making the bed is to stack all the pillows on top of each other and pull the top sheet tight so Miscreant has a kitty fort underneath, since he helped make the bed.
