Teddy Tellum wondered whyHe had to be a friendly guyHe should have waved and said goodbyeBut now he’s here with hands held highThis angry Troll in front of himWhich none would call a tiny TimAn ugly contest he’d surely winHeld in his hand a piece of tinAn odd shaped thing so little and wee A remote to view his own TV?At least Ted knew and he could seeNo way a gun that thing could be.

Sorry I’m late, dozed off reading the strip! LOL! ZZZZZZ…..
If there was a TIME in Dick Tracy, when this ‘accompanying’ Background Music - ever needed to be played, it’s NOW -as you follow the ‘Action’ of Flying In today. Panel 3 !
So, I guess that’s Tracy in the ‘copter. It’s a good thing he’s there, because I have a feeling that the ground, is about to collapse somewhere and it’s safer in the sky. Either Jimmy or Ted or both are in a bad position, standing on the lake shore. As for the gold, I wonder who took it, or even if someone did.
Holy moly! Things are still not looking good for that friendly fella, but in addition this could be a hugely explosive (or implosive), bang-up finish for the saga of the lost gold!Do you suppose Tracy and Sam traded in their patrol car for that bear in the air?
I have been waiting and can’t contain myself. I think BB Eyes (who A. Knew Jimmy was up to something, and B. we know from his Aqualung knows how to plan) has already gotten the gold. Jimmy obviously did not want to share with his OWN people, if he had ‘borrowed’ help from the blackhearts he would have been ‘required’ to share a hefty amount with them, and he was so greedy he wanted to collect ALL the takings from the betting shops before he disapeared. (Chicken feed compared to the gold) Even without taking ‘help’ from the blackhearts, he would be expected to give some to them as a fee for operating his heist in their territory.BB Eyes is having second thoughts about the blackhearts since they threatened his family, so with this gold he could fund a hide for him and his family.
Happy Memorial Day guys! I’m surprised we have a real strip today. I expected one of those one panel strips with Tracy and the entire cast smiling saying Happy Memorial Day with the American flag behind them.
Seeing that copper chopper in the last panel I was thinking of Sam and Tracy racing to the scene in a couple of flying trash cans.Lol. Who’s gotta picture to post?
@Neil Wick and Gweedo: early this morning I posted a thank you message to all our veterans. The original message vanished from every comic that I posted it to. I am reposting without the American flags that were part of the original post. So far the new posts sans flags have not disappeared. Thank you for your comments my friends. Have a safe day._______________A Special Thank You to All Our Veterans for All that you have sacrificed for us. God Bless You.______________
Jimmy has Teddy dead to rights at the lake. Someone must take the blame for Jimmy’s misfortune. Below the lake the miners rush to escape before the rising waters drown them. Above the lake, the Police have arrived by helicopter to bring Jimmy to justice. Well done! A good Memorial Day Weekend to all Tracy fans.
How can Ted’s digs cave in if the lake is drained? It isn’t on floating pontoons, is it? Meanwhile, depending on how deep the lake is, they might find the 1924 heist gold, though! That ought to satisfy Jimmy enough that he can get rid of that slot car controller and get him a Glock.
I think the theory that Tracy and crew already found the gold and had it carted away is looking better and better. Since Tracy and Sam were driving around there has been no mention of the gold. So, perhaps this all happened off scene. Certainly there’s a lot of story details that are not being shown. I think in the rush to finish the story having the gold accounted for saves them time looking for it and they can conclude the story with Jimmy’s fate, whatever it will be.
Oh the joy of an exciting stripPuts a grin on my faceGives my step a little zipWhat will await our favorite chubby guyWill he escape once againOr swim to that Fort Knox in the skyI’m pretty sure Ted will quicky slip awayAnd spend thirty more yearsBabbling on about this aqua dayPerhaps the day will come When I’ll stop reading this stripBut for those who want me goneDon’t hold your breath that’s my friendly tip.

I stand by my guess a few days ago, that Tracy already found and removed the gold, after following that tunnel Mole showed him.

The land, sea and air sequence does have a subtle resemblance to the categories of our fighting forces. At least, that’s how I read it.
