It depends. University of Southern California is on the west coast. University of South Carolina is on the east coast. I think they usually mean SoCal, though.

Then there is Oregon State U. and THE Ohio State U. You might have to differentiate based on the sports teams. eg, “Bucks pluck Ducks in 54/14 rout”

We have built-in confusion around here. In certain parts of our state ISU means Iowa State University. Other parts it means Illinois State University.

Sew the name on the seam of the shorts from bottom to top. That way it can read when Buck is flat on his back on the canvas.

@rdmacgregorOregon State University is the Beavers, not the Ducks. Ducks belong to the University of Oregon (or as we Beavers say, “that little university down the road”) And yes OSU often gets confused with The OSU and even, occasionally, with Oklahoma State University. :-)

Didn’t word that real well….it (the university) is considered some sort of offshoot of CSU, not just the name…
