Never used weed killer sprays especially for Dandelions.Just dug them out before they went to seed. Curious children asked what I was doing. “Going to make Dandelion salad or wine”. Having so much fun the kids asked if they could help. I gave them buckets & digging tool, & a prize for the first youngster to fill a bucket. Then I sat on the front porch steps & played my banjo. Anytime kids heard me playing the banjo they came by, & I had the yard weeded by the time I finished ‘Old Joe Clark’, & a number of other Pete Seeger folk song favorites.
