This whole episode was made to order for the N.F.L. It once again deflects from the truly pressing issues, like concussions and their lingering effects. Sadly too many want to ignore that.

hmmn, each team uses their own, kickers have special ones, etc…
Does this happen in college football? Why doesn’t everyone use the same footballs?
