A group of 12 or more cows is called a flink. Victorian London fashionistas imitated Princess Alexandria's limp, and stores even sold shoes with uneven heels! At birth, octopuses are about the size of a flea!
According to word-detective.com, flink is a mountweazel invented in 2002, a mountweazel being a made-up word created to trap plagiarists. http://www.word-detective.com/2011/03/flink/ The question appeared on word-detective after someone found the flink being 12 or more cows as Real Fact #752 under a Snapple cap and requested more information.

So what’s a group of 11 cows or less called?
charliefarmrhere over 9 years ago
I always heard it was a herd (including less than 12)—never knew it was a flink, & I was raised on a dairy farm.
