When I grow up, I'm gonna fly on airplanes a lot! I'll travel to exotic lands... Meet interesting people... Experience different cultures... And sample little bags of peanuts from all the major airlines.
Let Red have his dream while he can. Nobody can believe the nightmare air travel has turned into. I thought Japanese tube “stuffers” who poke subway riders to cram the cars were bad. NUTHIN on airplane travel!
back in Red’s day he could sample real food. like baked chicken or beef roast. I remember an early morning IAH to LAX flight that was serving breakfast in the back of the plane, not First class. We were asked if we wanted scrambled eggs or the wonderful xxxxx (isn’t that a hoot? do not remember the other choice!! back to my story). Turns out they had burned a oven full of the eggs. As I recall the other choice was good.

Not any more, you won’t. Cheapskate airlines.

Not any more, because of allergies, now you get pretzels. And since I can’t have wheat, I get nothing!

Of course, the airlines will charge extra for peanuts, too…if you can even get them!

And as one pilot said “While flying I often look down at the fields and streams and wish I were down there.”

Seems to me that, “back in the day”, nobody had peanut allergies. PB&J sandwiches were the norm.

Red, as bright as you are, you will be in the cockpit as a Captain when you grow up!
Don’t be in too big a hurry to grow up, though; you only get to be a little kid once…
