The Preakness Stakes trophy is so valuable, not even the winners are allowed to hold it. On April 4, 2015, Mieko Nagaoka, 100, became the world's first centenarian to complete a 1500 meter freestyle swim. Cardio brisket, a calf owned by Tom Leach of Western Pennsylvania, was born with its heart and its neck!

So what do you do to win that winnable, forbidden-to-hold trophy? (Anata wa sugoi desu, Nagaoka Mieko-chan!)

Actually, the horses aren’t allowed to hold any of the trophies.

It’s hard to hold on to a trophy when you don’t have hands.

I wear my heart on my sleeve if I’ve had a bit too much to drink.

Apparently 1500 meters in the water took Mieko long enough to get all wrinkly!

The thing I find most impressive about the Preakness trophy is that it was Hidden away during the Civil War because the owner at the time was afraid the Confederacy would melt it down to make Silver Bullets..Did they somehow think that the the Union had Vampires and Werewolves in their ranks?Or, perhaps as Officers?.“Dang You Clyde, I done Told you not to waste them Silver Bullets on Nothin’ but Genrals.”.
