The end doesn’t justify the steps.

He is about to take a long promenade off a short promenade. Fireman, l’ll have a steam whistle.

What is that in Gary’s hand? Could it be his lemonade? (pronounced to rhyme with plod)

You know, you can’t quite see the detail in that strip.

Let me enlarge it a tiny bit, so you can see what’s actually going on:

Marcia let him build the “promenade” …but she has no intention of allowing any repeats of his former “promenading”….

Gary is really quite content.After all…. it means that after 43 years, she still cares.

Fireman, I think I`ll try the new Rickard`s Radler.

Meanwhile…. wow….

Good thing I worked later than I’d planned at the market tonight…. I didn’t have to choose sides or even be around for the squabbling.

But Bev… honestly!I told you the other day I should do your toes when I did your fingers… we had planned to make an afternoon of it.But noooo … you had other things to do.

I never promised you tonight.I was avoiding appointments for tonight cos I knew I’d be having such a long day.

But then I said I’d cut the Monkey’s hair and do his foot rub tonight anyway (if I could,) cos it’s relaxing.

But I didn’t even make it home in time… I thought that might happen, so I offered him all tomorrow afternoon.

Unless he has a gig, the Monkey usually goes to bed early.Sheriffing is early work…. and he personally supervises the Tiki day shift. Your appointment is at 10:14 tomorrow night…. that’s THURSDAY night.Probably “tonight” by the time you read this.But… just because you’re in a snit…. how could you say those things about the Tiki????

The Tiki! The place that lets us throw extravagant parties…. where the food is always plentiful…and everyone eats, even when they’re down on their luck, a little short… when their ships didn’t quite land this week…no questions, no excuses….

Pay your tab when you can…. and they always do… somehow…

And whose generosity (and clandestine .. I mean frequent yak-buying trips to Turdmunkestan) make that possible?The Monkey, of course.Our good friend and our elected Sheriff, that’s who.You’ve eaten many a yakball sandwich…and I don’t believe you’ve ever gotten sick. Hmmph. See whether I offer you one again.I think you should apologise to him…poor Monkey… look at all the banana peels all over the place… he’s upset!And to me… cos I cook a lot of the food there too….and…..um…. do you have a snickerdoodle?

Well Gary it’s a good beginning. Looks like the Memorial Day festivities has carried over into your everyday life and that’s a good thing. On the other hand I see Shirley has put on her dots, not the biggest ones, but she is sitting guard so to speak, good thing she remains cautious, now that you are at the end of your promenade. By the way, why didn’t you tell me it was ugly shorts day, I would’ve worn mine.

For a guy its a promenade. For models its a Cat Walk.I like his shorts, his shirt is great also, love the pen accent in his pocket.My wife has a leash on me too. Attaches at my waist line, more humane that way. I am well trained to the leash.Kudos to the hero K9 that saved his partner there in Mississippi.
