The problem with us men is that we leap, (give our opinion) before looking (to see if our spouse is wearing the product we are offering our opinion on). Look out before we leap. Fortunately, my wife is very patient and forgiving.
I own a pair of rubber clogs and they’re quite nice for short trips during very warm days. I wouldn’t recommend them when doing a lot of walking though as they lack proper support.
I’ve been wearing Crocs for 9 years now. They are very comfortable, after wearing them for an hour they conform perfectly to my high arches and give just the right amount of support. If I’m going to go on a long walk, I do wear socks – too much sand around here otherwise. They may be ugly, but I no longer have to spend weeks trying to find a new pair of shoes that fit right. Long live Crocs!
I like them for gardening in the summer. Easy to slip on and off if I want to go in and cool off for a few minutes. I can’t find any women’s sizes locally. Had to pitch my last pair as the strap was held on with duct tape. Got something close, but would grab some knock-offs if I could find them. I’m not paying a bunch for lawn mowing shoes.

“Rubbers” used to be what we slipped over our leather shoes to protect them from moisture.

I’d rather see jellies come back than Crocs. Ewww.

I’ve never worn them, but putting my bare feet into clammy rubber shoes (later sweaty rubber shoes) sounds gross.
