Birdsong is only sweet and charming because we can’t understand what they’re saying. The human equivalent would be some drunk on the roof of his frat house in his underwear yelling over and over again “Hey! Who wants to have sex?”

birds are not especially romantic. i was once at a little petting zoo(no actual petting, just buy feed & throw it to hungry animals). i was praying no kids would ask questions cause it was quite a violent scene. the lady fowl was being held down and pecked at by the male’s friends while he was busy procreating

A Buddhist priest was conducting services when a songbird began warbling from a tree just outside the open window next to his podium. He listened silently until the bird flew away, then turned to his congregation and said, “You may go, now — you have had your sermon!”
