I agree. I love Cheap Trick. I’ve seen them four times. If you ever watched “That 70s Show” then you’ve heard them. The theme song is them. Want you to want me. Dream Police. The Flame. Surrender. Just a few of their songs.
Especially after acknowledging as their primary inspirations the geniuses of the rock era, the Beatles, even to the extent that they did a live gig several years ago of the entire Sgt. Pepper album!!!
To those who state “I’ve never heard of them” as a reason they shouldn’t be in the R&RHoF, go the the org’s website and you will quickly realize that there’s a hefty amount of inductees you’ve never heard of, and most of those have little to do with “Rock & Roll.”
If you’re ever in Chicago go to Piece pizzeria in Wicker Park (1927 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60622(773) 772-4422) Rick Nielsen (guitarist) is part owner of the place. Unless you’re from Chicago you’ll like it. I say that because they make California style pizza. But one time they had an auction for one of their favorite charities. And the winner won a pizza party and Rick was the guy that actually delivered the pizzas to your house. They were cool enough before they thought of doing that

Even I’ve heard of them and I’m not near as music savvy as many of you. Maybe Thatababy will give us a Cheap Trick midnight concert.

Because Rick wanted his son on drums so they fired Bun E. Carlos. I love their music, but they way the band has treated him is despicable.

I guess those who don’t know Cheap Trick, are younger or older than the 70’s music era or not into Classic Rock.
