I know it’s hard to give such news to your family, but all the members of Honey’s family look very pleased with this development, so that’s a load of worry off of Honey’s mind.
I’m assuming it’s Junior in the first panel who called them “antennae” rather than “horns.” It’s good and is also a cue to new readers what the function of the “horns” is.

I would say:- I don’t think there’s any doubt that the theft occurred- I believe is was Fontane who said the gold had been transferred (from the original train car to ??)- If Jimmy were there for the “transfer” this dialogue wouldn’t have happened- It may have been buried, unless the Blackhearts somehow arranged for it to be transferred directly to them- Apparently, the police didn’t get it if it’s now in Mr. Bigg’s office- We also have to look at partial load scenarios: Was it all buried? Does Mr. Bigg have all of it? Was Jimmy trying to un-bury all of it?- I wonder how they were planning to get it out of state (a little at a time?)
We may learn more once Honeymoon’s announcement is done.

I’d think MJ ENGLISH speaks the language when he asks the questioning how Mindy’s Horns ‘WORK’ ? Were they natural, or from a ‘man made’ duplication process? It’s been “stated” to be the latter ! .
Kind of difficult to get 2 miniature horns, ‘manufactured’ electrical receptors (metalic?), Artificial Horns that convert Sunlight to an electrical bolt’ forms and delivered via wires in neck and upper arm to the gloves for needed discharge. And then later to find that thet a man made device has evolved, converted naturally i.e. changed to “flesh and blood” replacements to perform the SAME function.
Cant’s see how that’s on the ‘cards.. That’s more than an unrealistic STRETCH ! Even for the Comics

An explanation of my comments yesterday in Dick Tracy..I welcome that Mike and Joe wanted to bring back at least elements of the Space Era. However, I find a degree of discomfort in the manner in which they chose to do it. Hence, my remarks, a decided disappointment that:.Mr. Bribery (apparently) will be coming back from the dead, while.Mysta is a “chimera,” an attempt at getting a “clone” of Mysta out of former criminal Mindy Ermine, which attempt is apparently successful..While tsull2121 and avenger09 have been vitriolic about the Mindy/Mysta developments in the past, and maybe even the present, nevertheless, I have to give credit where credit is due: They are absolutely correct in their observations. Most recently, Avenger09 has referred to her as “Mindy the freak.” tsull2121 refers to her as “Franken-Mindy” – a term which I think I coined originally – though for entirely different reasons than how tsull2121 uses it..I stand by my comment yesterday that, as Mike and Joe continue to assert that Mindy is becoming an identical twin of Mysta, that is still not the same thing as having the original Mysta..My chuckle now is that, after the initial introduction of the new Moon Maid, with the cat fights between Mindy/Mysta and Sparkle, the relationship between them seems to be settling into something that might resemble.Reba and Barbara Jean!
Honeymoon’s new antennae are cute! And she has a supportive reaction from her family and Annie at home. But the (likely) problem of adverse reactions and bullying from other kids at school remains….
Honeymoon’s growing up, and I couldn’t be happier. So grateful that the creative team has the nerve to embrace and expand on the entire Gould canon. Will Honey now develop her mother’s powers? Can’t wait to find out! This is a bold and creative move, and IMO a very smart one. Thanks, Team Tracy!!
Keen insights on DNA/SDNA from Nightshade09 and Night-Gaunt49..The development of Honeymoon’s character is yet another aspect of Team Tracy’s stellar work. I expected Mysta’s changes would be ongoing and exciting. Honeymoon’s development is icing on the cake. This bodes well for a wide array of story possibilities. Bullies will ridicule what they don’t understand. That which is different frightens them, so they lash out. Yet Honeymoon is not to be underestimated. She has shown a lot of spirit for some time now.

The Blackhearts have some secret purpose involving the Moon. They went to great extremes and expense over many years to “clone” a new Moon Maid resulting in a chimera. They hired Ghote and Sail, both discredited but brilliant scientists. They also hired Stellaluna and Retik (are they still undercover agents for the Blackhearts?) to “program” the chimera to think like the original Mysta. They implanted memories into her brain and continue to monitor her progress (and psychologically continue to implant memories?)
In addition, the Blackhearts gang includes a strange Moon-headed (possible) alien whose assignment was the failed Space Coupe theft.
At the end of the Mysta-Chimera arc, we saw what appeared to be the silhouette of the Moon Governor at the grave of the original Mysta—what we thought was a nice, sentimental but intriguing capper for the epic tale.
But was that all it was?
Let’s stop for a minute and consider some things about the Moon Governor. He was as much or more of a capitalist than Diet Smith. It was only his greed that prevented him from declaring war on Earth.
Moon Governor is very rich and as we know from the original Bribery story, the Moon had a lot of gold that was transferred to Earth (perhaps a billion dollars worth?). And, the Moon Governor is totally unscrupulous. He has lied and conived to get his way. He has kidnapped Tracy and Diet Smith and held them on the Moon. He has held Junior on the Moon against his will.
Just as Diet Smith would spend billions trying to revive his dead son, Brilliant, the Moon Governor was equally attached to his daughter, Mysta. He went to extreme lengths to keep her near him on the Moon. She was the princess of the Moon and the heir to his throne. To what lengths would he go to have her back?
It would not be inconceivable to me to discover that the Moon Governor is the real “Mr. Bigg” of the Blackhearts who is financing the whole operation. There were many gold mines on the Moon. How much of the gold did the Governor take with him when Moon Valley was abandoned? How did the Blackhearts become financially invested in operations all over the world and why?
As Purdy Fallar remarked to arthritic Mr. Intro:And who’s arthritic hand was seen gesturing from the limo and instructing TBolt? But we saw Mr. Intro vaporized. It couldn’t possibly be him, could it?
Bribery may be running things as the Governor keeps a low profile but how is Bribery still alive?
Well, as the Governor implied in the strips I posted, Earth scientists are mental defectives compared to Moon science and technology. Perhaps their medical science is sufficiently advanced so as to have revived Bribery and healed him of his injuries (a more advanced technique but along the same lines as Dr. Klippoff’s revival of Purdy Fallar).
The Blackhearts went to incredible length to obtain samples of Moon Maid’s DNA. Could the same have been true of Intro and Bribery? Perhaps the revival of Moon Maid was only part of the cloning experiment.
The clues seem to be falling into place and seem to me all seem to point to the Moon Governor. We know he is still alive and possibly in hiding and nearly every other character being introduced in this arc has a connection to him.
Anyway, this is my theory right now and I’m sticking to it. Although, Mike is very clever and I have been wrong before.
Honeymoon will be the envy of the playground! She doesn’t know it yet, but when her school puts “Star Wars” on stage, she’ll be a natural for The Emperor, Darth Vader, or any other part she wants. And when she is old enough to date……. she’ll be as safe as at home! Good poem this morning, Av!

There seems to be a divide among Tracy fans when it comes to the Space Era – They either love it, or loathe it.
Very few seem to sit upon the fence in that regard.
Either way, Space Era-related strips almost always generate a lot of comments here.
